As part of its ongoing expansion, Nottingham-based distributor Garners Food Service Equipment has promoted from within and kicked off the year with a new director.
Andy Brown, formerly Garners’ business development director (designate), joins MD Tim Fisher in senior leadership. While retaining his day-to-day direct management of the firm’s sales and marketing department, Brown will look to further accelerate the ongoing planned expansion and development of Garners.
Coming from a construction background, he has managed and developed key accounts such as Wates and Wilmott-Dixon, and is one of Garners’ most experienced members, having taken roles as sales executive, national sales manager and business development manager before attaining his current director status.
Brown commented: “Over the past 10 years I have been involved with the changing direction of the business on many different levels, but the one thing that has never changed is the pride that we all have in Garners FSE and what we strive for.
“The current success of the business is thanks not only to the driven management team, but also to the amazingly dedicated team of individuals we have here; it’s with great pride that I move on to this new chapter and I’m very much looking forward to working alongside the team to develop our business further.”
Garners also took on three new members of staff last year as part of its annual growth plan.
