CESA confirmed today that it will be running a special BIM and CESABIM advice centre during Hotelympia next week.
The advice centre is primarily aimed at manufacturers and first importers, giving companies an opportunity to get clued up on all aspects of BIM and the CESABIM database.
The free helpdesk will be based at CESA’s stand (1229) and is open throughout the course of the show.
Those interested in dropping in can secure their slot by visiting the online booking page here or by calling Stewart Millar on 07808 793547.
CESA, CEDA and FCSI full members will also be able to find out how they can receive a free software license from CESA that will allow them to download BIM compliant models.
The CESABIM database is designed to make it easy to produce BIM models that can be uploaded into any BIM software format.
The UK government has legislated that, by 2016, all public-funded projects must be undertaken using BIM software, leaving manufacturers with the task of needing to produce BIM-compatible 3D models of their products in order to have them specified.
