Spares and training specialist, the First Choice Group, has appointed Julian Fisher as business development manager.
He has much experience of the catering equipment sector, having spent 16 years with Hobart, graduating from call centre operative to parts and service manager, before moving to GEV where he worked as the company’s technical and sales manager.
Fisher has been tasked with developing relationships with customers and manufacturers to support the growth of First Choice Group across all areas of the business.
He said: “It’s great to be at the UK’s market leader for catering spares, a company which can provide the financial backing to explore the opportunities which will unlock the enormous potential we have for growth and development,
“I’m very happy to be here, assisting all departments across all areas of the business.”
Fisher, who has a marketing degree and training in commercial catering and wholesale, will work in tandem with department heads to build on existing successes.
“I’m looking forward to working with the sales team, marketing and the training guys in Combico UK to enhance the service already being provided through innovation and the advancement of current processes,” he added.
First Choice Group’s MD, John Whitehouse, said Fisher’s appointment is a signal of intent: “Julian’s wealth of experience, his knowledge and his skills will be a big asset for us in driving the company forward to achieve even greater successes in the future.

Married with three children, Fisher is a Wolverhampton Wanderers fan, enjoys running and tennis and fundraising for charity.
