First Choice sponsors unsung heroes

Catering Insight’s inaugural Power List has been further boosted by the First Choice Group sponsoring the unsung heroes category.

This is one of five categories for the annual publication, which will recognise the top 50 catering equipment distributor personalities. The other categories comprise: business leaders, industry innovators, project pioneers and young trailblazers.

First Choice’s director, John Whitehouse, chose to support the unsung hero category because: “First Choice specialises in meeting the needs of service technicians working in the commercial catering market, a real unsung hero role.

“When running efficiently, a commercial kitchen is like a well oiled machine, with chefs, waiting staff and equipment all performing critical roles in producing meals. It is the service technician’s job to keep the equipment performing its part in this cycle. This is just one example of the importance of the unsung hero to the catering market and First Choice is proud to be associated with their recognition.”

The Power List is being compiled based on nominations from the industry itself and will be published as a supplement to the July issue of Catering Insight.
