Fireworks Fire Protection will be giving visitors to its Hotelympia stand the chance to win lunch at the The Clink Restaurant’s recently opened venture at HMP Brixton.
The Norfolk-based outfit installed an LPS 1223 approved fire suppression system to protect the deep fat fryers at the restaurant after previously fitting a similar system at The Clink at HMP Cardiff.
Steve Titterington, marketing manager for Fireworks, said Hotelympia was a great opportunity for it to promote its 15ampu kitchen fire suppression system and so it wanted to mark the occasion in style.
“Working alongside Chris Moore the Chief Executive of The Clink Charity — someone who is well-known to the visitors at the event — we felt it would be appropriate to give 10 lucky individuals the chance to have a first-class dining experience at the prison as well being able to showcase our 15ampu high pressure watermist system.”
The Brixton restaurant follows The Clink’s Five Step Programme that has been successfully implemented at the award-winning Clink restaurants at HMP High Down in Surrey and HMP Cardiff.
The kitchen is operated by prisoners who will take on full-time positions within the restaurant, equipping them with the skills and tools to secure employment upon their release.
