Euro Catering aims at entry level with new pizza ovens

Euro Catering is bringing Italforni’s EK44 double deck pizza oven to the UK.

Northamptonshire-based supplier Euro Catering has introduced Italian manufacturer Italforni’s latest entry level pizza ovens to the UK market.

The EK4 and EK44 single and double-deck electric models come with an aluminium-coated, steel plate cooking chamber, electric heating elements and halogen lamps.

Said to be compact, the units feature a refractory baking floor and separate thermostatic controls to individually control the base of the oven, and its ceiling. A single-tempered glazed door is counterbalanced, to improve opening and closing.

The ovens can reach a temperature of 450°C and have a vapour-release feature that should ensure excess moisture is removed from the oven chamber during cooking. The EK4 can cook four 13-inch (33cm pizzas) at once, whilst the two-deck E44 doubles this capacity.
