Distributor buying consortium ENSE UK has completed another product training session, held at Eastwood Hall in Nottingham on 12-13 May.
In 2 days, 12 manufacturers had the opportunity to train over 30 distributor sales people from 13 different companies, on their product offerings. ENSE reported that both distributors and suppliers expressed they found value in the training.
The supplier participants comprised: Catering Equipment Professional, Gram, Hubbard Ice Systems, Maidaid Halcyon, Manitowoc, Meiko, Metcalfe Catering Equipment, Parry Group, RH Hall, Sammic, Tablecraft and Valera.
Phil Dixon, sales director at CS Catering Equipment said: “This training is one of the best organised training we have participated in; it has allowed us to stay current on existing products as well as learn about new products reaching the market.”
David Jones, the MD of Catering Equipment Professional, stated: “This is brilliant! It has allowed us a focused approach with the people that make the sales at the customer level. We couldn’t ask for anything more.”
Robin McKnight of ENSE said: “This product training initiative began over 2 years ago and has become an integral part of ENSE’s strategy. These events are now becoming a vital part of both distributor and suppliers’ calendars.”
Over 30 ENSE supplier members have participated in these training days over the last 2 years and the buying group said that each one reports an increase in sales afterwards. Furthermore, the sessions are being duplicated by other industry organisations looking to further develop the distributor sales members with up to date knowledge.
