Distributors will now be able to source some of Electrolux Professional’s most popular lines in less than two days due to a new stockholding arrangement that the manufacturer has announced.
The company has set up a dedicated UK warehouse stocking a selection of dishwashing, food preparation and refrigeration equipment, with a guaranteed delivery time of 48 hours or less from when the order was placed.
The company said the initiative — which it is calling ‘Electrolux Express’ — would allow foodservice dealers, designers and specifiers to respond to market demands “quicker than ever before”.
Electrolux is often perceived as a project and scheme supplier, but the roll-out of this service is heavily geared towards kitchen replacement installations.
And with the primary school meals initiative kicking off in September, it also hopes the service will be of value to dealers over the summer if they need to get hold of equipment quickly.
Electrolux said that the equipment available via the service had been “carefully selected” from its wide portfolio of products and would allow dealers to react to market demands.
Darren Lockley, head of region for UK & Ireland at Electrolux, said: “Many catering professionals will already be aware that Electrolux provides complete kitchen solutions, but we wanted to introduce a mechanism to cater for those who need just one or two pieces of replacement equipment quickly in order to respond to their customers’ demands.”
He added: “Market demands are evolving more rapidly than ever before, so it is important that those who specify, design, and equip professional kitchens can rely on a manufacturer to meet all their replacement needs efficiently without compromising product quality. Electrolux Express has been designed to do exactly that.”
