EFCEM debates equipment hot topics at annual event

The European Federation of Catering of Equipment Manufacturers (EFCEM) will address some of the most pressing topics facing the industry this week when members gather for its annual conference.

Sustainability, social responsibility and the evolution of the dealer channel will all be on the agenda at the Hotel Grand Sablon in Brussels.

The event will also provide an opportunity for UK members to network with European colleagues and feature engagements EU MEPs in order to be able to represent European catering equipment manufacturers.

EFCEM will use the event to hold its general assembly, before kicking off a packed conference agenda that will see presentations from Carlsberg’s Alberto Frausin, FCSI Asia’s Clara Pi and Aperam’s Francoise Haegeli.

Foodservice consultant Doug Fryett will also lead a panel discussion on the future of dealer and distributor networks, and provide an update on the ‘Mind the Gap’ research into attitudes around sustainability within the supply chain.

EFCEM is the body that unites a number of national catering equipment associations from around Europe, including CESA in the UK.
