Dealers should perhaps invest in a hot water bottle and electric blanket, as the industry is clearly feeling snug and not expecting much change.
That’s according to Catering Insight‘s salary survey results, which showed that a massive 51.47% of the 128 dealer personnel surveyed are very confident in their job security, with another 33.82% recorded as confident.
Just 7.35% of respondents chose each of the ‘not confident’ and ‘no feeling either way’ categories.
However, while this looks to be positive news regarding employee trust and belief in the future, the sector needs to beware of the old adage that familiarity breeds contempt.
If everyone feels that their job is completely secure, there is always the possibility that complacency will creep in.
