Vision Commercial Kitchens has recently completed several major care home projects.
These include Deva Point in Chester, which is the latest flagship development by Wulvern Housing. This site provides 63 one and two bedroom self-contained apartments for the over 55s. The development includes a modern and stylish bistro which was designed, supplied and installed by Vision.
Maywood Extra Care is a 52 bed extra care scheme located in Wolverhampton where Vision worked with main contractors Willmott Dixon on the development of the catering facilities. The operators wanted a traditional style cooking process including a six burner range, fryer and grills. The emphasis for the project was on providing an aesthetically pleasing, attractive servery counter which would be used to display and serve sandwiches and cakes within a bistro style setting.
Vision’s work within this project has led to it being asked to design and install two further schemes for the same housing association. This site was also used to introduce the CEDA Grand Prix judges to the projects that Vision has undertaken alongside Willmott Dixon over the past 3 years.
The dealer also worked with the main contractor Bouygues on the extra care development, Fernleigh. It provided the catering facilities for three areas: the main kitchen, servery counter and a remote coffee counter. The design included solid state tops for both counters which provides what is designed to be a modern, stylish finish. The main servery also had LED down lights included in order to enhance the finish of the counter itself.
Bouygues’ contract manager Matt Sidwell commented: “Working with Vision is a pleasure, it is like working with your own company; it understands what you want and actions items in a timely manner. Vision is a professional company with a professional delivery of service.”
