Stockport-based Design Catering Equipment (DCE) has finished a trio of new kitchen projects for primary schools in Hertfordshire, including Ascot Road Community Free School in Watford.
DCE MD Paul Rawlinson said that the client brief was to provide, “good quality proprietary-branded product that has the reassurance of good back-up and support for the future. To that end, we installed equipment from Falcon, Foster, Rational and Meiko.
“With regard to the dishwashing in particular, the Meiko ECO545D pass-through machine is ideal for the requirements of primary schools.”
The Eco series is Meiko’s budget range of undercounter and hood-type glasswashers and dishwashers, said to offer good reliability and wash results, combined with a 2 year warranty.
ECO545D pass-through machines can handle up to 720 plates and hour. With a 440mm entry passing height, they can accommodate larger items such as meal trays. They can also be supplied with a built-in water softener, said to save space and the requirement for extra services in the wash up area.
DCE was established in 1990 and has since designed in excess of 5,000 commercial kitchens. The firm underwent a change of ownership last year, when Midlands-based Francis Catering Equipment purchased it from administration.
