A listing on the company’s website details that the new and reconditioned commercial catering equipment supplier has a substantial service and repair contracted income, and is on offer for an asking price of £500,000.

Turner Butler states that the dealer’s current turnover is circa £850,000, with shareholders funds of around £380,000.

The listing says: “This established reputable business supplies new and re-conditioned catering equipment, also undertaking maintenance work servicing gas and electric appliances, plus design and installation of commercial kitchens, offering high quality value for money products and services.

“The company also offers maintenance contracts to its wide range of clients, including some large blue chip companies. Maintenance and installation teams are fully conversant with equipment from all leading catering manufacturers, and are qualified to advise on such matters as health and safety and current legislative requirements.

“This business is a ‘one stop shop’, offering a full range of catering equipment and supplies that are constantly being updated. Providing a service that is second to none by maintaining close relationships with leading manufacturers and consumable suppliers and having knowledgeable experienced staff who understand and are extremely responsive to the needs of customers.”

This distributor is looking for a new owner as its three directors have reached between the ages of 50 and 60 years old respectively, and are now ready to retire following the successful handover of the business.

Currently nine members of staff work for the dealer, and the present owners will provide full business familiarisation, training and handover following a sale.

According to Turner Butler, this business is financially stable with positive cash flow, no debtors, enjoys a strong order book, high gross and high net profit and has shown consistent strong growth in profits.
