Following his recent departure from equipment supplier Grande Cuisine, Dan Loria has revealed some of the details of his new venture in an exclusive interview with Catering Insight.
“As some people in the industry may know I started my career in the transport and logistics sector, before moving into catering equipment service and sales, so it will come as no surprise to them that I am returning to my roots with the creation of new divisions within logistics specialist, Certa Group Ltd,” he said.
“Certa, which is headed up by my fellow director Paul Carter, has mainly been focused on chilled and frozen food supply chain logistics since its formation 3 years ago, and has built up an impressive client portfolio that includes a number of market leading high street retailers.
“My role is to create a specialist catering equipment transport division within Certa and offer its expertise and services to the many contacts that I have made during my years of working in the equipment supply sector. Certa’s aim will be to offer suppliers, manufacturers and distributors a bespoke storage and delivery service, and with it, a credible alternative to the options currently available.
“The other area of expertise for both Paul and I is in the field of service and maintenance, so we will also be creating a catering equipment service and maintenance division within Certa. We have assembled a team of experts in all areas of service, maintenance and engineering and are now able to offer a reliable, high quality on-call capability as well as a bespoke kitchen modification facility. By offering a 24/7, 365 day personal service we hope to freshen up an area of the industry that we have first-class knowledge of.
“Both Paul and I have been fortunate enough to have worked for, and learned from, some of the best people in the equipment sector and we now look forward to giving something back to this fantastic industry.”
