Nisbets has produced a training video to ensure kitchen staff are aware of the dangers inherent when using a meat slicer. The film is aimed at operations that purchase models form its Buffalo range.
Available via the Nisbets website and on the company’s YouTube channel, the video covers everything from safety information and operating instructions through to details of how to sharpen the blades and clean the machine thoroughly.
Richard Ebbs, Nisbets’ Head of Product Training, who features in the video, explains: “If used without the correct training, meat slicers have the potential to be dangerous pieces of equipment.
"With their popularity increasing and the need for greater cost control within many outlets, Nisbets felt it essential to give the operator greater guidance on usage in a format that can be shared with all kitchen staff.
"This training video not only highlights best practice, but also details how to clean and assemble the product in the safest way possible.”
