After three decades at the helm of Cumbria-based catering equipment dealer, G&M Supplies, Mike and Maggie Graham have announced their retirement.

Established in 1987, the distributor feels it quickly secured a reputation as one of the key players in the catering and hospitality industries, providing catering equipment and bar supplies to businesses across the country.

Describing the journey of G&M, Mike stated: “We have lived through many highs and lows; we’ve stomached three recessions, bore the downturns and enjoyed the highs and successes along the way. We would like to thank all customers, suppliers and employees – past and present – for their support over the years.”

Echoing Mike’s sentiments, Maggie Graham added: “The current G&M team is tremendous. Our biggest wish is to see G&M continue to grow and thrive, and we have no doubt that this will happen.”

Gavin McKew has acquired the company and will be taking ownership of G&M Supplies with immediate effect. He joined G&M in 2012 as lead web developer, and became a company director in 2015.

In his new capacity as MD, McKew stated: “I am looking forward to implementing new strategies in order to expand the business and build on the existing success currently enjoyed by G&M Supplies.”
