Knaresborough-based storage and handling specialist, Craven and Co, turned up in support of the Royal British Legion’s mission to raise fund in the run up to Remembrance Day.
During the annual Poppy Appeal, Craven offered its support to its local legion branch, which manages to sell over £30,000 worth of poppy products every year, despite being one of the legion’s smallest groups.
With so much fundraising taking place every October and November, the Knaresborough Royal British Legion have to stock an abundance of poppies to store.
For some years, the local branch has struggled to store their appeal stock, operating out a container in a transport yard.
Craven, which became aware of the Knaresborough branch’s storage predicament in 2015, made the arrangements to provide the organisation with free office space and storage facilities, including a number of their zinc chromate four tier shelving bays.
Neil Fox, sales director at Craven and Co, said: “The Royal British Legion is a great charity doing extremely worthwhile work and Craven are delighted to provide the support they need to make their work a little easier.”
