London-based Court Catering Equipment has won warewashing manufacturer Meiko’s annual award for outstanding sales and customer care by a UK Partner Distributor.
Court was the first Meiko Partner Distributor to buy into the GTS food waste removal concept, having installed two inlets and a 5000lt tank during the refurbishment of the Don restaurant in London.
Court’s turnover increased fourfold last year, thanks in large part to that GTS project and its additional focus on promoting Meiko’s GiO premium range machines to its customer base.
“The Meiko GTS Food Waste Removal System really has become a key part of our product portfolio and while not suitable for all catering outlets, with a bit of creative thinking the GTS can be a solution for many,” said Court’s managing director Nick Howe.
As part of the award, Court will receive a complimentary ECO530 dishwashing machine with a list price of just over £4,400.
Howe added: “We are delighted with this award and to be nominated as the Meiko 2013 Partner Distributor of the Year, which has been achieved through a collective effort from everyone within the company, ranging from our sales and projects team, through to our service department and logistics team.”
Previous winners of the award have included C&C Catering Equipment, Carford Group, Horizon Foodservice Equipment, Advance Group and Caterware.
Meiko’s UK regional sales manager, Mark Sharland, said Court was a worthy victor this time around.
“Court Catering Equipment has proved that, even during the depths of a recession, determination, professionalism and sheer hard work, combined with a quality product and first-class after-sales service, really can pay off.”
