Preston-based CHR Foodservice Equipment has been given the green light to design and fit the kitchen for Simon Rogan’s forthcoming restaurant at Claridge’s in Mayfair.
Rogan was revealed as the new culinary face of Claridge’s back in November, with CHR widely expected to be involved in any fit-out having worked with the British chef on other significant jobs during the last couple of years.
Last year CHR carried out a massive kitchen refurbishment project at his two-starred L’Enclume restaurant in the Lake District.
The Claridge’s restaurant kitchen will be fitted with one of CHR’s Eco-Chef bespoke cooking ranges, which are built in the UK.
CHR says its emphasis on creating a line that is hugely energy efficient dovetails nicely with Rogan’s own sustainable principles and commitment to using ingredients and equipment that are locally produced and environmentally friendly.
The distributor added that it hoped the project would also pave the way for it to pick up more work in the south of the country in future.
