Chiller Box has installed three new kitchens for the Grab Everyday Thai Food restaurant chain in London.
Marios Poumpouris, MD of Chiller Box, spoke to CEDA, as the distributor is a member. He detailed: “The hot dishes are cooked from the chain’s central kitchen so efficient cooking from a Rational unit is important, and holding and heating at the other two sites with a Victor heated drawer and induction for rapid and controlled heating are also vital. The counters and equipment around them including soup kettles and rice cookers are designed for things being close to hand for the staff to give true grab & go service.
“The colour and aromas from Grab Everyday boxed Thai salads sell themselves, but the multi-deck cabinets from the Pastorkalt Karlos range showcase them with under-shelf and vertical lighting, plus a polished stainless steel finish. They add to the food’s appeal and put it close to hand for customers to quickly pick and choose.
“The design and equipment advice we have given to Grab Everyday Thai Food has allowed the chain to expand quickly and we are set to work with them as they continue to grow.”
