When dealers approach Catering Equipment Professional (CEP) they may not realise that not only does the Ramsey-based supplier provide a wide range of badged catering appliances, it also has the might of the Electrolux Professional brand behind it.

CEP sells Electrolux kit under the Refrigeration Professional, Dishwasher Professional and Cook Professional brands, as well as the Libero Point mobile theatre cooking station, and it was the manufacturer’s major backing which persuaded MD David Jones to strike out with his brother, Kevin, and form what was originally called Alpeninox UK in 2008.

“My first visit to the impressive Electrolux facility in Pordenone, Italy, convinced me to come onboard with them,” he recalled.

The supplier has access to £40,000 worth of stock holding, and many of its core lines are available for next-day delivery.

However, anything that requires importing from Electrolux’s headquarters only has an average lead time of 15 days.

Over the past couple of years, CEP has seen some large-scale changes which have brought massive benefits to the company.

Changing its name from Alpeninox (an Electrolux refrigeration brand which still exists on the continent) to its current more descriptive moniker saw enquiries rocket, particularly online.

Likewise, the creation of its three key brand names – Dishwasher Professional, Cook Professional and Refrigeration Professional – brought further clarity to its offering.
