Whittlebury Hall in Northamptonshire played host to more well-attended Cedabond Heavy Equipment Forums, in conjunction with CESA.
Due to popular demand, the buying group ran two forums on consecutive weeks for distributors light on time and resource.
The first event featured 15 Cedabond suppliers from across the equipment sector including providers of water boilers, ovens, tableware, microwaves, refrigeration, storage solutions, safety equipment and ventilation, as well as a number of complementary service providers including those offering specialist finance, spare parts and online quotations.
They were joined at the event, which followed a networking dinner the night before, by a cross section of Cedabond members from across the UK.
Amongst the highlights were the launch of Elia’s new range of infuser teapots; details of First Choice’s Enviropure waste management system; a first look at Foster’s ‘Stayclear’ refrigeration condenser; FSE’s potentially lifesaving Cobra fire protection system; details of Johnson Reed’s financing options; Nayati’s range of Oriental cooking equipment; the latest in melamine tableware from UK newcomer Thunder Group and cookware from Samuel Groves provider UGroup.
The forum drew universal approval from both suppliers and members with one supplier, Colin Hutchison of Thunder Group, going so far as to say that: “Cedabond will be a major force in establishing Thunder Group in the UK market.”
At the second forum this week, held the day after the CESA Heavy Equipment Forum, the Cedabond event featured meet and greet sessions with both Hobart’s Cooking Solutions and Warewash divisions, Grande Cuisine, Rational, Gram, Charvet, Induced Energy, Precision Refrigeration, Craven & Co, Distributor Supplies, IMC, Maidaid Halcyon, Linda Lewis Kitchens, RH Hall and Corsair Engineering.
Cedabond chairman and executive director Phil Martin commented: “The value of these events, to dealers and suppliers, is clearly demonstrated by the fact that for the first time ever we put on two forums in order to cope with demand.”
