CEDA‘s membership and partner network have been boosted by the recent additions of DCE Commercial Engineers Ltd as a Service Member and GEV Catering Spares Ltd as a Silver Partner.

Adam Mason, CEDA’s director general, believes that the addition of DCE and GEV, offering equipment servicing support with foodservice equipment spares, will bolster CEDA’s ability to offer joined-up services for end-users across the foodservice sectors.

Mason pointed out that GEV has more than 25 years experience in providing equipment spares and commented on its its German-based headquarters operating with “natural efficiency” and quality through its UK team to offer access to over 70,000 items in their spares catalogue.

The director general said: “Servicing is crucial to uninterrupted and profitable operation for end-users and DCE joining CEDA strengthens our coverage and choice of service engineers. From their Liverpool base DCE provide a dedicated foodservice equipment repair and servicing business that has a great track record and we are delighted to have them onboard with us.”

Meanwhile, DCE director, Brendan Doyle, said: “DCE are very happy and proud to be accepted as CEDA members. I see this as a vital step forward in the growth of our company. We look forward to the exciting opportunities that CEDA membership brings.”

Talking about joining CEDA as a Silver Partner, GEV Catering Spares’ managing director, Bryn Vivian, commented: “It is almost seven years since GEV established its UK sales office in which time we have followed a strict policy of supplying catering service organisations and specialist wholesalers.

“The fact that we are now part of CEDA means that we have greater access to the members of the association which will certainly help our development going forward. With an unrivalled stock of parts, a knowledgeable, stable sales team and a highly efficient logistics centre we look confidently to the next seven years and the opportunity to work more closely with the members of CEDA.”
