CEDA begins year with a bang

The Catering Equipment Distributors Association (CEDA) has begun the year by adding a number of new dealers to it ranks, growing the size of its membership to almost 90 companies.

The organisation confirmed today that four distributors have joined up already this month, while the addition of new associate partners has also provided it with an extra boost as it plans a raft of exciting new activities and initiatives for 2014.

On the deal front, Essex-based J Scott & Sons, Hants-based CEBA Solutions, Chesterfield-based Food Service Solutions and West Yorkshire-based JLA have also been welcomed into the group.

JLA’s membership comes a month after it acquired the Carford Group, which is a long-term member of the association.

CEDA also revealed that Smeg UK, a supplier of commercial warewashing and cooking equipment, and Improvair, a provider of bespoke commercial kitchen air control systems, have both joined as Silver Partners.

The number of Platinum members, meanwhile, has grown to 11 for the first time, after Rational and Mechline, both Silver Partners last year, increased their commitment to the group.
