CDG scores £500,000 of new business

CDG’s design concept for the new ‘We The Curious’ coffee shop in Bristol.

Daventry-based Catering Design Group has won four project contracts worth over £500,000 in total, including a second scheme at the state-of-the-art science and visitor attraction, ‘We The Curious’ in Bristol.

‘We The Curious’, formerly known as ‘At-Bristol’ will undergo a full refurbishment of its coffee shop area into a full catering facility with 100 covers across the breakfast, lunch and dinner services. The scope of CDG’s work will include upgrading back-of-house catering and kitchen equipment, together with washroom facilities.

A second project is for The Bank of England Sports Centre in Roehampton. The kitchen design house will refurbish its servery area and redesign the space to improve aesthetics, ambience and flow. This will include opening the area up to create a more contemporary look.

Also on the slate is a contract for Froebel College at the University of Roehampton in London, today home to the Department for Education. CDG will transform the catering facilities to deliver a fresh design, layout and service option to enhance the experience and environment for students and staff.

Finally, following a referral from Aberdeenshire-based Raemoir Garden Centre, CDG has won a contract to re-design the catering facilities at Glendoick Garden Centre in Perthshire.

The scope of work will involve expanding the existing catering facility into a new extension, increasing covers to 210, creating an additional bakery production space, whilst also allowing the operator more flexibility within its full self-service offering, including a dedicated soup and bread counter.
