Catering Design Group (CDG) has been shortlisted against stiff worldwide competition in the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards for its outfit of Bonfire restaurant at the Barbican centre, London.
The business has secured a much sought-after finalists place under the ‘Surface Interiors’ category, which recognises UK and International food and beverage spaces with an emphasis on surfaces.
217 businesses have been shortlisted across the 34 UK and International categories. Just 75 projects in the UK made the shortlist.
Out of 10 finalists in CDG’s category, just two are from the UK, with the other eight as far afield as China, India and the USA, alongside European entries from Romania and Spain.
The winners will be announced at an award ceremony in London on 29 September 2016.
Phil Howard, MD of CDG commented: “Being shortlisted for a global award such as this is a true honour; and to say I’m very proud of my team would be an understatement.
“We are up against some stiff competition from some of the most recognised interior designers from around the world.
“However, whatever the project, we always stay true to our values. We immerse ourselves in the architecture of a build, irrespective of the grade listing of a building to always ensure we think creatively and respectfully to exceed the expectations of a client’s vision.”
