Catering Design Group has sprinkled its magic to provide a leading business software company with a six-part catering and dining facility at its Marlow HQ.
The commercial catering design specialist designed and built a complete front-of-house operation for SAS, which wanted a facility that would encourage staff to eat and relax in-house.
The facility consists of four independent seating areas, a servery area for theatre style cooking and a main dining room capable of seating up to 140 staff.
“Our brief was to create a sophisticated environment with a professional appeal and look. It was important that the space was classic in style, had a mature outlook with gentle moods and tones throughout,” explained Abi Perry-Jones, senior design consultant at CDG.
Due to SAS’ strong environmental policy, Daventry-based CDG sought to re-use existing materials or source environmentally friendly alternatives where possible.
“With Marlow just 10 minutes away and boasting some exceptional eating environments, the client was naturally eager to encourage employees to remain on-site during the lunch period to make use of its own catering facilities,” said Perry-Jones. “It was also important that the environment appealed to external delegates using the facilities for training and meeting purposes.”
