The CCE Group has completed a project to design and install the kitchen at independent venture The Frog, in Shoreditch, London.

Owned by Adam Handling the young chef who made his mark with his signature restaurant at St Ermin’s Hotel, Westminster, the new eatery incorporates locally sourced ingredients to produce global cuisine, especially South East Asian.

CCE then helped to design and fabricate the kitchen’s work areas and work surfaces, plus specified equipment from Cuisinequip and Valentine.

This comprised two built-in Cuisinequip induction hobs, a Kombi-Star induction cooking hob, a Berner induction salamander and griddle, plus a Valentine Evo 250 fryer.

Handling commented: “The new equipment I have from Cuisinequip and Valentine is a real boost in terms of increasing our service output and the quality in terms of taste and consistency, especially from the induction elements which beat our previous gas solutions.

“CCE and Cuisinequip stepped up to the plate with this challenging project providing kitchen design, installation and equipment from initial conversations at Easter to having The Frog operational on 7 June. Great equipment, service and support.”

Looking forward, he forecast: “Now The Frog concept is tried and tested I have plans in action with my investors to open further restaurants, including another Adam Handling signature restaurant.

“My strategy includes using the template of cooking equipment from Shoreditch and making it the core of the new planned operations.”
