Contract Catering Equipment (CCE) has added the latest Mark Hix restaurant to its prestigious list of clients in London.
The Essex distributor designed and installed the large open kitchen and prep area kitchens for the new Hixter Restaurant, which is based between London Bridge and Southwark.
The steak and chicken restaurant features two private dining rooms for between eight and 40 guests, a main dining area and two bar areas.
For the main front-of-house kitchen, CCE specified a Montague broiler, Hatco warming drawers, Precision refrigeration and the latest Rational combi ovens with 5 Senses technology.
All fabrication work, including pass work surfaces with built-in tab grabbers, was carried out by the distributor’s in-house team.
Managing director of CCE, Ray Costelloe, said he was delighted with his project team’s efforts. “The ergonomics and overall effect look stunning and the design makes for happy chefs,” he said.
The basement prep kitchen, meanwhile, features plenty of room for bulk cooking thanks to the addition of an Ambach bratt pan, and ample storage space.
