C&C completes science project treble

Chester-based C&C Catering Equipment has recently completed one of its latest schemes at Granta Park, a business estate in a recognised area for science success globally.

The site marks the third project completed by C&C at the large business estate, having previously worked at Gilead and The Welding Institute.

Having been appointed in early 2017 to undertake the work by Vinci Construction, C&C provided dining facilities for the business estate’s users, with an emphasis on healthy eating. The project comprised a new kitchen, wash up and cold store facility, serving a traditional hot offer counter and remote coffee bar, and grab and go servery counter.

Brands on the project included C&C Catering Fabrications servery counters and back of house, Unox combi ovens, Wexiodisk warewashing, Williams coldstores, Britannia Ventilation extract hoods, Itrak temperature monitoring, Baron cooking equipment, and EAIS storage racking, with Vinci Construction as the main contractor and Tricon as the design consultant.

Project director Paul Parry commented, “We’re delighted to have completed another prestigious project in the Cambridge area, and are really pleased with the final result at Granta Park.

“It was particularly interesting to work on the remote coffee bar counter, which was quite unique as it was shaped like a question mark. It’s great to have been a part of this impressive scheme.”
