CaterQuotes launches intuitive design for the CQ Catalogue

Comparison of all views now available in the CQ online catalogue.

Industry quotation system provider CaterQuotes has launched a new way to view products and accessories in its cloud-based CQ Catalogue.

The new card view design gives publishers and subscribers another option to search, filter, compare and choose items from the catalogue. The new design is aimed at presenting products and accessories more visually. CaterQuotes believes its focus on media and key data is more comprehensive than the information presented by most e-commerce sites.

Operations director Paul Shaw said: “The card view’s main aim is to simplify the user experience by using streamlined product categories and interactive cards.

“It contains everything that people already expect from CaterQuotes, and now it’s presented in a more visual and user-friendly way. The card view is a huge step towards our goal of improving the user experience.”

He continued: “The card view is fresh, intuitive and easier to navigate. It promotes our views of being customer-centric by providing a more ergonomic way to use CaterQuotes.”

Features of the card view are said to include: a clean, modern and more visual interface, streamlined categories and subcategories, interactive searching and filtering by key attributes, and enhanced options for publishers to present more images and media related to their products and accessories.

CaterQuotes will still keep the previous viewing options in the catalogue, now referred to as classic view, which includes thumbnail images, and a straight list view. Users will be able to toggle between all three views.
