Sophie Griggs and Sue Treffler from Caterparts, a supplier of spare parts to the catering industry, have completed a 26.2 mile night time charity fundraising walk – the 2015 Moonwalk London.
The pair finished the course in 7.5 hours and raised £1,300 in aid of the breast cancer charity, Walk the Walk.
Griggs said: “So many of us know someone or have been affected by this disease and so we created this team to raise money and make a difference through taking part in this iconic event. Come rain or shine, we followed a strict training programme over the last few months and are thrilled that we completed the distance in a good time.
“With the help of generous sponsorship from Caterparts, we have raised £1,300 which has smashed our target of £750. But we would like to appeal for further donations for this worthwhile cause.”
Caterparts is based in Brackley, Northamptonshire, and usually stocks over 80,000 spares for use in venues such as kitchens, bars, coffee shops, restaurants and staff canteens, among others.
