Telford-based Catering Centre UK is set to expand it sales operations, alongside its kitchen consultations, in order to keep up with demand for its speciality services.
MD Richard Davies established the business in its current form in 2009. Keeping up with trends and the ever changing market, the focus in recent years has been more on sales, supported by the investment of over £30,000 in 2014 for a state of the art website to ensure demands for catering supplies can be fulfilled online, speeding up the process and enabling the company to match online prices as part of their ‘Price Promise Guarantee’.
Now Catering Centre UK has decided to alter its approach, as Davies detailed: “Many of our larger clients are moving more towards purchasing the equipment they need, rather than hiring it – thus achieving the exact product they require, and saving money long-term.
“So we have teamed up with Shrewsbury based Tipples Mobile Bars and Catering Hire, which is also a very well respected supplier across the region and was looking at expanding its hire services and range alongside its bar supply.
“Therefore the strategic partnership seemed like the logical next step. We have transferred all hire equipment and referring hire orders to Tipples, and it has maintained our service standards to help ensure our long-term loyal customers continue to receive consistency of supply.”
Tim Aversa, who established Tipples in 2007, added: “We have been well aware of Catering Centre UK for many years and often supported each other.
“Following discussions with Richard the hire business perfectly complimented our business model and expansion plans and at the same time enabled Richard and his team to focus more on sales.
