Catering equipment execs show loyalty to employers

Readers of Catering Insight appear to be highly loyal to their employers, with almost one third of them saying they have been with their current employer for more than 10 years.

An additional 18% say they have been with the same company for between five and 10 years, so fully half of executives have been with their current company for five or more years.

The statistics are extracted after the first week of polling Catering Insight readers in our exclusive Salary and Job Satisfaction Survey.

The catering equipment sector is renowned for its continuity, and partnerships and alliances that often stretch back for decades, so it is not surprising to see a considerable proportion of executives in the sector devoting years of service to their companies.

Only 12% of people responding to the survey have been at their current company for less than a year.

Response to the Catering Insight Salary and Job Satisfaction Survey has been phenomenal, but the data will become more and more valuable with the greatest number of people taking part.

“We urge everybody to get involved and not just leave it to others to provide the data that will be more and more valuable as the number of responses rises,” said Rob Corder, MD of Promedia, publisher of Catering Insight.

No contact details or personal information are collected; the survey is 100% anonymous.
