Carpigiani signs exclusive deal to supply IFI displays

IFI’s ice cream refrigerated display cabinets will now be available through Carpigiani in the UK.

Ice cream equipment manufacturer Carpigiani is now the exclusive supplier of IFI products in the UK.

IFI is an Italian manufacturer of artisan display equipment for the food and beverage industry, with a heritage spanning some 55 years. The firm has creating a number of unique products, including the world’s first modular industrial bar counter in the 1970s and more recently, the Bellevue and Panorama series cabinets.

The agreement includes IFI’s complete range of ice cream display cases, as well as those designed for hot, cold and ambient foods. Specialist chocolate and frozen counters as well as the bespoke products featured in IFI’s complete countering systems will also feature in the deal.

Continuing a 30-year agreement, New Concept will continue as the exclusive supplier of the IFI brand in Scotland. As part of the new collaboration, Carpigiani UK has appointed New Concept as an official supplier for its equipment portfolio in Scotland with immediate effect, with existing Carpigiani business development manager for Scotland, Cameron Barrie, continuing to support customers and projects throughout the region directly.

The fully equipped showroom at New Concept will become the location for Carpigiani’s retail and foodservice Gelato University courses, 1-2-1 demonstrations, customer training and menu development sessions from 2018.

We have worked with IFI for a number of years, supplying the very latest display solutions to countless retail and foodservice sites around the UK.

“This new exclusive distribution will allow us to add further value to our customers, supporting new and existing gelateria, dessert lounges and ice cream parlours as well as bars, restaurants, hotels and food sites with the very best in display and design.”

He continued: “As part of this agreement, we are pleased also to announce a new collaboration between Carpigiani UK and New Concept. Having serviced the Scotland region for IFI for over 30 years, we both felt it extremely important to continue this continuity.

“We strongly believe that we can further add value and support for customers in Scotland by also opening the route to our Carpigiani portfolio to New Concept customers. We look forward to launching the Gelato University courses, menu development days and product demonstrations at the New Concept head office in Glasgow which will serve as our new development kitchen for the Scottish region.”
