Carpigiani refreshes tabletop ice cream maker

Carpigiani has updated the design of the Labo 8 12 E.

Carpigiani has launched a new look, updated Labo 8 12 E, said to be the company’s most popular compact, tabletop, gelato machine.

This new, refreshed model features an insulated, single piece door with safety lock, designed to provide optimum internal freezing conditions, whilst also being easy to clean after each use. Operator-controlled dials offer start, stop, extraction and cleaning functions, while the new machine features Carpigiani’s one piece beater with three blades to automatically produce consistent gelato or sorbet each.

With an hourly production of between 8-12litres, the new Labo 8 12 E offers the capacity required to produce small batches – suitable for maintaining freshness and the production of multiple flavours. A plug-and-go operation and a compact footprint of 365mm x 715mm x 660mm (w/d/h) ensures the new Labo 8 12 E should fit onto an existing countertop.

Carpigiani UK sales director Scott Duncan said: “Our most popular compact batch freezer, the Labo 8 12 E combines a pioneering design with a minimal footprint, ensuring consistent gelato is produced in the most simple way. The new design incorporates greater insulation in the door mechanism, helping to maintain the precise conditions within the cylinder, while the latest one piece beater with three blades ensures the production of smooth, creamy gelato and sorbet, full of melt in the mouth flavour.”
