Carpigiani chills with new development kitchen

Carpigiani’s new London premises will host training days.

Carpigiani has opened a brand new London development kitchen and showroom as part of the company’s plans to further its nationwide training network.

This new acquisition, located in Park Royal, North London, boasts a wide range of training opportunities and will provide a base for Carpigiani’s Gelato University course in the capital.

The course offers a 1 day insight into the world of authentic artisan ice cream and gelato production.

The company believes this new London development kitchen highlights the continued focus and commitment that its UK division is placing on developing the gelato market in this country as well as the ongoing popularity of the training opportunities offered by the industry experts.

Covering everything from end-user retail and foodservice programmes, recipe formulation and menu development to dealer training and detailed engineer courses, Carpigiani UK has pledged ongoing support to new and existing customers across the country.

Featuring state-of-the-art equipment, it is hoped the new site will become a hive for menu and new product development.

Paul Ingram, MD of Carpigiani UK commented: “Following the continued growth of our training programmes around the country, we took the decision to invest in a brand new facility in London.

“Located within easy reach of the M1, M40 and M25 motorways and just minutes from central London by train, the site is ideal for those living throughout the South East.

“Complete with some of our very latest equipment, we see the development kitchen being used for training of new and existing customers to experiment with new ideas and recipes as well as a convenient meeting space for our team to discuss bespoke packages and plans with our customers.”

The showroom features Carpigiani equipment such as the Maestro HE and Pastomaster 60 RTL, the Labo 8/12E and the 191G soft serve machine.

As well as showcasing specific equipment, the development kitchen will also feature a number of examples of bespoke countering, display cases and complete dessert station solutions from partnering brands , while customers can take the opportunity to understand more about the personalised shop-fitting and design services offered by Carpigiani UK.

The manufacturer has also added David Ashton as its new business development manager for London and the South East.

David joins the Carpigiani UK team from Hubbard Systems, where he held the role of key account manager and has experience of working with many of the leading design and catering equipment suppliers.
