Cardiff dealer tees up annual golf challenge

Welsh catering equipment distributor ABM Catering for Leisure is preparing to host its annual golf day next month as it bids to raise funds for charity.

This year marks the 18th that the Cardiff kitchen house has held its Annual Golf Classic and to date it has raised in excess of £58,000 for charity.

More than a dozen local and national charities have benefitted from its fundraising efforts.

This year’s event will take place on Wednesday 10 September at Wenvoe Castle Golf Club.

The competition is primarily organised between representatives from suppliers, customers and friends in the catering equipment industry.

Sponsorship of a team of three players costs £175, although places are strictly limited to 20 teams so ABM requires final confirmations by August 22 from those interested in taking part.

The Wenvoe Castle course was designed by five times open winner James Braid and is recognised as one of the finest in Wales.

It is set in scenic countryside in the heart of the Vale of Glamorgan and golfers finish their round in front of the imposing 18th century manor house that has served as the clubhouse for more than 70 years.
