Lowestoft-based refrigeration manufacturer Adande has flown the flag for the British industry by winning awards at the first Asian Catering Equipment Awards.
While the winners were announced on 13 April, the awards ceremony will be held during Hofex 2015 on 6-9 May 2015 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Adande submitted its Shallow Drawers and its Matchbox with a hydrocarbon refrigerant for judging, with the latter winning the Best of the Best and the Heavy Overall Design & Innovation awards.
Experts from the foodservice industry, including internationally recognised food facilities consultants, renowned chefs, food and beverage directors of hotels and restaurant chains, and design experts were invited to be on the judging panels. The awards aim to recognise manufacturers and designers of foodservice equipment who have innovatively improved the efficiency and success of restaurant kitchens, along with the profitability of the restaurant itself and reduced negative impact on the planet.
Nigel Bell, chairman of Adande, said: “It’s fantastic news to realise how well received and recognised our products are becoming and the differences with our unique refrigeration are being understood not least for the multitude of money, food and energy saving benefits they bring to the operator.”
Paul Harper, Adande’s international sales director, who will be attending the event, is enthused by the increasing development and exposure in the region. “Once again, this is a great testimonial for our unique ‘Hold the Cold’ technology proving the case that our ‘world class’ Adande is unlike any other refrigeration on the market today!”
