Bristol kitchen house backs local pub grub

Pyramid Catering Equipment, a kitchen house based in Bristol, is putting its weight behind a food awards ceremony being held in the city.

The company, which was founded by Graeme Marshall two years ago, will sponsor the ‘Best Pub Food’ category of the Bristol Good Food Awards, which will see participation from more than 100 local restaurants, delis and cafes.

Pyramid has found success in the pub and restaurant market since its establishment in 2010, supplying venues such as The Owl & Pussycat in Shoreditch and St Peters Restaurant in Sandwich.

“Pyramid Catering is an active supplier to the pub sector and are proud to sponsor the Best Pub Food award to recognise massive achievement in a hugely competitive market,” Marshall told Guide2Bristol.com, which is organising the awards.

Marshall has been in the catering industry for 25 years, initially starting out as a commis chef before moving into equipment purchasing roles. Prior to setting up Pyramid he worked on the equipment distribution side of the fence.

He set up the company to provide everything from conceptual design and equipment specification to project management and installation.

Five Bristol pubs have been shortlisted in the category supported by Pyramid, with the winner set to be announced at a ceremony on 3rd July.
