Nearly a year after Certa Group introduced catering equipment logistics and servicing capabilities, the firm has announced plans to launch a cooking equipment supply division in January 2018: Certa Cooking Equipment.
Details of the equipment brands the new division will represent are being kept under wraps in the run-up to Christmas, though Catering Insight understands that these will involve prime cooking and preparation appliances.
However, Certa will be revealing the represented brands on its new website when it launches in the New Year.
Starting with a focus on chilled and frozen food supply chain logistics, when experienced catering industry professional Dan Loria joined the business full time as a director at the end of 2016, this enabled Certa Logistics and Certa Service to be created. Along with fellow director Paul Carter, Loria feels that Certa has very quickly grown to become one of the leading operators in both of these fields.
During 2017 the company has entered into several long-term partnerships with leading UK equipment manufacturers to handle their storage, distribution and servicing requirements.
Loria said: “Having previously worked in the equipment supply sector, both Paul and I always harboured ambitions to get back into this area once the timing was right.
“We have both worked with some of the UK’s leading equipment brands so this is a logical extension of our current business activity and one that we are very comfortable with, given the experience that we have.
“We appreciate that there are a great many suppliers in the marketplace but there are very few that can offer a package that includes purchasing, transportation, warranty cover, spare parts, service and maintenance, and we believe that this makes our proposition unique.”
