An online catering equipment company that badged itself the “boiling and bratt pan experts” is currently undergoing liquidation proceedings, it has emerged.
Process Catering Equipment, based in Southampton, is now in the hands of insolvency specialists Premier Business Recovery after its appointment by members and creditors in mid-August.
A statement of affairs published on August 14 shows the company has debts of £72,771.97.
A total of 17 organisations are listed as company creditors, however more than half have zero balances next to their names.
The majority of debt is owed to manufacturer Electrolux (£32,403), wholesaler Axon Enterprises (£12,789) and The Punjab Kitchen (£25,578), a South Shields supplier of frozen ethnic food.
Process Catering Equipment offered a wide range of commercial cooking appliances on its website, promising to bring customers “well-known, reliable makes at low trade prices”.
Stoke-on-Trent-based Premier Business Recovery confirmed they were looking after the case this morning, but the administrator Stephen Lancaster could not be reached for comment at the time.
Meanwhile, a notice was issued earlier this week confirming the appointment of liquidators for Big Ben Catering Equipment.
Insolvency practitioners Findlay James of Cheltenham are managing the case involving the Ilford-based provider of food and beverage equipment.
