Brakes Group has opened the doors to a new fully equipped innovation centre, a dedicated space designed to develop, grow, and support the company’s products, colleagues and customers.
Situated in Reading, Berkshire, the 1,000metre2 facility is a collection of spaces where Brakes says people can “meet, taste and innovate”. At the heart is a food market where visitors can explore highlighted products from the Brakes range.
In keeping with the company’s ‘for chefs by chefs’ philosophy, the space also includes an innovation kitchen where a team of 13 chefs is on hand to help train, develop and support customers, providing access to ideas and solutions on an individual basis.
The team is backed up with audio-visual support and the use of six fully-equipped training bays that will be employed to train and advance chefs across the country.
Brakes’ food marketing manager, Becky Hover explained: “This new facility has been designed very much with our customers in mind and our team of chefs has been involved at every stage to ensure this facility works for us and them.
“The innovation centre is a fantastic space where we can work together to help train, develop and support caterers and their food business through a more tailor-made and relevant approach. We are sure it will have a bright future.”
