Solihull-based distributor, Bournville Catering Equipment, is now offering a new storage and catering Pod service which can offer flexibility, greater choice for diners and support busy periods for end users’ operations.
The pop-up kitchen and kiosk can be supplied flat-packed so that it can be transported through narrow access-ways and assembled onsite.
Bournville estimates that its team would take a maximum of 3 days to install the Pod.
The units are available in a range of sizes from a standard 3.0metre x 2.6metre model to a bespoke designed Pod.
The dealer can supply optional internal equipment including a sandwich grill, soup kettle, work table, multi-deck chiller display unit, potato oven, shelving system, panini grill and toaster.
The Pod comes with up to six electric power sockets to suit the needs of each catering operation.
The external walls are 100mm thick and have Kingspan Spectrum coating applied to the weather side for durability. A bespoke vinyl wrap can be supplied for branding.
Internally, the walls are covered with 120-micron thick cladding to ensure hygiene and facilitate cleaning.
All Pods come with a fully automated electrical shutter as standard and a double locking door and deadlock system.
They are also supplied with 1, 2 or 5ft strip level single light fittings with full covers and condensation diffusers.
The Pods feature a choice of Altro safety flooring or steel checker plate non-slip flooring, while Bournville can also install adjustable nylon-coated wire storage racking suitable for temperatures ranging from -40 to 110°C.
