Kidderminster-based distributor Abraxas Catering is celebrating its 20th year in business with charity events to support Midlands Air Ambulance Charity (MAAC).
Established in 1998, the company feels it has a strong passion for supporting the local community, and to mark its milestone year it will participate in a range of charity events. The distributor has pledged to donate all proceeds from their charity events to fund the lifesaving work carried out by MAAC.
Abraxas sales manager Mike Nixon explained: “For 20 years Abraxas has been designing, servicing, installing and commissioning all types of bespoke catering equipment in commercial premises across the West Midlands.
“We’re very pleased to be celebrating our 20th year in business and keen to raise as much money as we can for the Air Ambulance and the phenomenal work that they do to commemorate this milestone.’
He added: “The team are very excited about the different charity events planned for the forthcoming year. First on our list is the 240ft abseil from the rooftop of the Hampton by Hilton Hotel in May, the fundraising from which will be sent to MAAC.”
MAAC are responsible for funding and operating three air ambulances serving the communities of six Midland counties. Required to raise £9m each year to keep the fleet of helicopters operational, the charity relies on the support and donations gifted from individuals and business amongst local communities.
Abraxas works with catering managers in restaurants, schools, cafes and leisure attractions across the West Midlands to find the right kitchen solution for their businesses. The team plans, designs and installs appliances to meet the specific needs of kitchens, and keeps them operating through its maintenance and servicing packages.
