CESA’s inaugural Heavy Equipment Forum got underway at Whittlebury Hall in Northamptonshire this morning.
Catering equipment distributors involved in the event get a 30-minute closed-door session with each of the 15 manufacturers taking part.
As well as getting a chance to see the equipment up close, distributors have the opportunity to discuss new products, business opportunities and training.
The first meetings kicked off at 9am, but prior to that CESA’s vice-president, Simon Frost, welcomed attendees to the event.
He said: “80% of the catering equipment that is sold into the UK market comes from a CESA member. The goal of this event is to build on the professionalism of the industry and provide you with information that is useful to you and your customers.”
Frost said the format of the day was very much based on the successful Light Equipment Forum, which CESA has been running for 10 years.
Dealers attending the event today include 3663 Catering Equipment, ABDA, Aggora, BBCS, Brakes, Broadland, CHR, Garners, Lockhart, Global FSE and Whitco.
Suppliers include Corsair, Dawson, Electrolux, FEM, First Choice, Gram, Grande Cuisine, Jestic, Lincat, Manitowoc, Metcalfe, Retigo, RH Hall, Victor and Wexiodisk.
The event concludes this evening when CESA will present awards for the ‘Distributor Initiative of the Year’, ‘Outstanding Sales Initiative of the Year’, and Heavy Equipment Sales Person/Team of the Year’.
